staying optimistic

why is it that society has made it so easy for failure. i know the economy plays a huge part in it but there are bigger things that effect the outcome of our lives such as temptation. society today gives us a lack of role models especially for black men due to the role models that we are forced to look up to such as rap artist and professional athletes that continue to let us down time after time. this makes it hard to know how to be successful and it also creates a dispute in day to day life because we fail to realize that the people or persons that we've looked up to are now going down the wrong path and forces us to reconstruct our goals and expectations. im a first generation college student looking for answers because i'm trying to filter out all the negative inputs so i can gain a positive outcome.
